IPTV Smarters Pro on Android is installed from the Google Play Store when the store lists it, then signed in with the Xtream details or M3U link from your subscription. The catch is the listing itself: it has been removed and restored more than once, and look-alike apps fill the search results. This guide shows how to check, how to sign in, and where Smarters is or is not available on LG TVs, Apple TV, iPhone and other smart TVs.

IPTV Smarters Android: Finding the Real App

When we searched Google Play in October 2026, the results showed many players with Smarters in the name, from several different developers, and none from the original developer. That can change at any time, so search on your own device and check before installing:

  • The developer name on the listing, compared with what you expect.
  • The last update date.
  • Recent reviews, particularly ones that mention your kind of device.
  • Permissions: a player has no reason to read your contacts or messages.

If nothing checks out, choose a player you can identify rather than downloading a file from a website. Going without the app for a while is far better than handing your phone to a fake. Our guide to official IPTV Smarters Pro download sources covers the warning signs in more depth.

Signing In on an Android Phone or Tablet

  1. Open the app and accept the terms.
  2. Choose the Xtream Codes login for the tidiest menus.
  3. Paste the username, password and server URL from your email, one field at a time.
  4. Give the profile a name and tap Add User.
  5. Wait for live channels, films and series to load before browsing.

Prefer the playlist route? Paste the M3U link into the playlist option instead. Our IPTV Smarters Pro setup guide covers both routes and their errors.

Settings to Change After the First Load

Once your lists appear, a few minutes in the settings pays off, particularly on older phones and budget tablets:

  • Player: if a channel plays sound with a black screen, switch between the built-in players or between hardware and software decoding.
  • Guide refresh: once a day is plenty, and saves data on a phone.
  • Time format and time shift: correct the guide only after checking the phone’s own time zone.
  • Parental lock: set a PIN if children use the device.

If the guide is out by whole hours, our article on TV guide time zones in Canada explains the usual cause.

IPTV Smarters Pro Android TV and Boxes

On Android TV boxes and Google TV devices, the TV version of the Play Store only shows apps made for televisions. Our step-by-step guide to installing IPTV Smarters Pro on Google TV covers that store. For hardware, see our Android TV box checklist.

Android Phones in a Bilingual Home

Many Canadian households switch between French and English. The player’s language follows the phone’s system language in many apps, while the audio and subtitle choices for each channel sit in the player’s menus during playback. If one person wants French menus and another wants English, set the language on each person’s own device rather than changing it back and forth on a shared one.

IPTV Smarters LG: webOS TVs

LG smart TVs run webOS, LG’s own system, which does not run Android apps. We cannot confirm a current IPTV Smarters Pro listing from its developer in the LG Content Store. Search the store on your TV, read the developer details on any result, and if nothing genuine appears, use a player that is listed for LG.

IBO Player Pro is offered in the LG Content Store and is the player we activate for customers. Our article on IBO Player Pro on Samsung and LG TVs and our guide to LG webOS settings cover the rest.

IPTV Smarters Apple TV

On Apple TV, the developer publishes Smarters Player Lite rather than the Pro name. The App Store listing requires tvOS 12.0 or later. It is free, with an optional premium purchase inside the app. Search the App Store on the Apple TV for Smarters Player Lite and check that WHMCS Smarters is the developer. Our guide to IPTV on Apple TV covers the other players there.

IPTV Smarters iPhone and iPad

The same Smarters Player Lite app covers iPhone and iPad, needing iOS or iPadOS 15.6 or later. Its listing describes support for M3U and JSON playlists, so if you do not see an Xtream screen, use the M3U link from your email. See our guide to IPTV on iPhone and iPad for AirPlay and mobile data tips.

IPTV Smarters Smart TV: Other Brands

For other smart TVs, the system inside decides everything:

  • Google TV and Android TV sets (many Sony, TCL and Hisense models): use the Play Store, as with a box.
  • Fire TV built-in sets: use the Amazon Appstore, as with a Fire TV Stick.
  • Roku TVs: no official Smarters app; see our guide to IPTV Smarters and Roku.
  • Samsung (Tizen): no listing we can confirm; see our Samsung guide.
  • VIDAA and other systems: check the TV’s own store, and consider a stick if nothing suitable is listed.

One Login Across Every Platform

The common thread through every section above is that the login does not care which app or system you use. The same Xtream details or M3U link go into Smarters on an Android phone, Smarters Player Lite on an iPhone, or a listed player on an LG TV. That makes it easy to mix platforms in one home, and easy to change your mind later.

What does not carry across is anything stored inside an app: favourites, parental PINs, recently watched lists and settings. Set those up on each device, starting with the one the household uses most, and write down your PIN somewhere safe. It takes ten minutes per device, and it saves an argument the first time someone cannot find the hockey channel.

When to Switch to Another Player

Smarters is a reasonable free player, but in our experience it has not always been stable, and its patchy store presence makes it hard to rely on across a household. For that reason we install and activate IBO Player Pro for our customers instead. Its activation is priced for one device at a time, 12 for 1 Year or 25 for Lifetime, and it is separate from your subscription.

Both apps take the same login, so switching costs you nothing but a few minutes. Compare them on our Apps page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can I not find IPTV Smarters Pro on Google Play?

Its listing has been removed and restored several times. Check the developer name on any result and use a player you can identify if the genuine app is not there.

Is there a Smarters app for LG TVs?

We cannot confirm one from the developer. LG TVs run webOS, so Android apps do not install. IBO Player Pro is listed for LG.

What is the Smarters app called on Apple TV?

Smarters Player Lite, published by WHMCS Smarters, for tvOS 12.0 or later.

Can I use one login on my Android phone and my LG TV?

Yes, in a player on each. Just not at the same time, since a subscription covers one active stream.

Is the Smarters app on Apple devices the same as on Android?

It does the same basic job, but it is a separate app with its own name, store listing and premium option, so menus can differ.
