An IPTV Smarters Pro subscription is not something the app’s developer sells you with channels inside. IPTV Smarters Pro is a player: free to download where a store carries it, sometimes with a small paid premium upgrade, and empty until you add login details. The channels, movies and guide come from a separate IPTV service, and that service is what you subscribe to.
Mixing the two up leads to paying for the wrong thing, or paying twice. This article separates the app from the service, explains the iptv smarters pro price on each platform as far as we can confirm it, and links to our device guides for the Smarters family of apps.
Two Separate Things Called “Smarters”
When someone in Canada says they have Smarters, they usually mean one of two things:
- The app: a player made by a software company, which shows live TV, movies and series from whatever login you enter.
- A service sold for use in that app: a subscription from an IPTV provider, delivered as Xtream details or an M3U link.
The developer’s App Store listing says plainly that the app does not provide, host or sell any channels or streaming services. So anyone selling an “iptv smarters subscription” is a provider selling their own service under the app’s name, not the developer.
IPTV Smarters Pro Subscription Costs, Platform by Platform
Android, Fire TV and Google TV
Where the app is listed, the download is free. Listings on Android-based stores have come and gone over the years: the app has been removed from Google Play more than once since 2019 and later returned. When we searched Google Play in October 2026, we found several apps with similar names from other developers and none from the original developer. Check the store on your own device before relying on it.
iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV
On Apple devices, the developer, WHMCS Smarters, publishes the app as Smarters Player Lite. It is free, with an optional in-app purchase for a premium version. The App Store shows the current price in your own currency on the listing.
Windows
A free Windows desktop version has been offered through the developer’s own website rather than the Microsoft Store. Our IPTV Smarters guide for PC and Mac covers both computers.
What IPTV Smarters Premium Adds, and What It Does Not
A premium upgrade in a player app pays for app features. Depending on the version, that can mean extra features or an ad-free experience; the listing on your device describes what is included. What iptv smarters premium never adds is content. Buying the iptv smarters pro premium upgrade with no subscription leaves you with a nicer empty app.
Equally, a subscription works in the free version of the app. You do not need the upgrade to watch, so there is no reason to buy it before you have seen your channels load.
IPTV Smarters Pro Price Compared with Other Costs
Setting the whole picture out in one place makes it easier to budget:
- IPTV Smarters Pro: free where listed; on Apple devices, an optional premium upgrade sold in the app.
- IBO Player Pro, the player we recommend and activate for customers: a per-device activation, 12 for 1 Year or 25 for Lifetime.
- Your IPTV subscription: priced by plan length, the same channels on every plan.
The player and the subscription are bought separately and renew separately. Buying an IBO Player Pro activation adds no time to your plan, and renewing your plan does not renew an app. Plan lengths are on our pricing page, and both players are compared on our Apps page.
How Providers Use the Smarters Name
The developer’s main business includes building apps for IPTV providers, which is one reason the name turns up in so many sales pages. A provider might advertise “works with IPTV Smarters” because its logins open in that app, or it might hand out its own branded player built on similar software. Neither means the developer stands behind that provider’s service.
When you compare services, look past the app name. Ask what the plan includes, how the login is delivered, how many screens it covers and how you reach support. Those answers tell you far more than which player a provider mentions. Ours are set out plainly: one active stream per subscription, Xtream details and an M3U link by email, and support through Telegram or WhatsApp.
Where IPTV Smarters Pro Runs
Platform support is the question we hear most after price. Here is the short version, with a guide for each:
- Android phones, tablets and TV boxes: where the store lists it. See IPTV Smarters on Android.
- Fire TV: through the Amazon Appstore when listed. See IPTV Smarters on Firestick.
- Google TV and Android TV: through the TV Play Store. See installing IPTV Smarters Pro on Google TV.
- Samsung TVs: no listing we can confirm. See IPTV Smarters on Samsung TV.
- Roku: no official app. See IPTV Smarters and Roku.
- Windows and Mac: see the PC and Mac guide linked above.
Spotting a Look-Alike Listing
Because the name is so widely searched, app stores fill up with players whose names borrow the same words. Some are perfectly good apps from other companies; others are low-effort copies. Before installing, check that the developer name matches what you expect, read recent reviews and look at when the app was last updated. If the details do not add up, pick a player your store carries from a developer you can identify. Our guide to official IPTV Smarters Pro download sources has a longer checklist.
Why We Suggest IBO Player Pro as the Main App
IPTV Smarters Pro is a fair free way to see your subscription working. In our experience, though, it has not always been stable, and its patchy store availability makes it hard to recommend for a TV the whole household depends on. IBO Player Pro is the player we set up for customers: it takes the same Xtream details or M3U link, shows a MAC address and device key on first launch, and we handle the activation once you order it.
If you already use Smarters, nothing is lost by trying both. Your login works in either app, so you can keep Smarters as a backup. Our IPTV Smarters Pro setup guide covers the sign-in, and our article on Xtream IPTV vs M3U helps you choose the login type.
Before You Pay Anyone for “Smarters”
- Decide whether you are buying an app feature or a TV service.
- For the app, buy only through the app store on your device.
- For the service, check that you will get Xtream details or an M3U link, and how they are delivered.
- Check how many screens the service covers at once. Ours covers one active stream per subscription.
- Keep the receipt for each purchase separately, since they come from different sellers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to buy IPTV Smarters premium to watch?
No. The free version plays your subscription. A premium upgrade only changes app features.
Does Aloha8K sell IPTV Smarters Pro?
No. We sell IPTV subscriptions and activate IBO Player Pro for customers who order it. Smarters is downloaded from your device’s app store.
Why is the app missing from my store?
Its listings have been removed and restored several times, and availability differs by store and device. Use a player your store does list rather than a file from a website.
Will my subscription work if I switch apps later?
Yes. The same Xtream details or M3U link work in any player that accepts them.
Is the Apple version different from the Android one?
It carries a different name, Smarters Player Lite, and its own premium option. The basic job of playing your login is the same.
