Installing IBO Player Pro is only half the job. The other half is connecting it to your subscription, which is where most first-time hiccups happen. The good news is that the process is short, and nearly every problem comes down to a handful of avoidable typing errors.
This guide walks through the setup in order. The player is developed independently and updated from time to time, so screen layouts and labels vary by version and device. Focus on the purpose of each step rather than the exact wording. And as always, the player contains no channels of its own: what you watch comes from your subscription.
Before You Begin
- IBO Player Pro installed from your device’s official store or the developer’s official source. Our Android TV and Google TV install guide covers one common platform.
- The welcome message from Aloha8K that lists your Username, Password and Server URL.
- A remote you are comfortable typing with, or a keyboard if your device supports one.
- A working internet connection on the device.
How Adding Your Subscription Works
Depending on the version and device, IBO Player Pro may ask for your details directly on the TV, or it may show information on screen and direct you to add a playlist through the developer’s official website. Some versions show a device identifier to link the app with a playlist. Follow the instructions the app itself gives you, and use only the developer’s official website if you are sent online.
Most players offer two ways to connect: a login with three fields, often described as Xtream Codes, or a single playlist link, often called an M3U URL. The three-field login is usually the easier choice.
Step 1: Choose the Login Option
When adding a new playlist or user, look for the option that asks for a username, password and server. If you see a choice between a playlist link and an account login, choose the account login unless your email tells you otherwise.
Step 2: Give the Playlist a Name
Many players ask for a playlist name. This is just a label for you, so choose something simple, such as Aloha8K or Living Room. It does not affect your login.
Step 3: Enter the Three Fields
- Server URL: copy it exactly from your email, including http:// or https:// at the start and any colon and port number at the end.
- Username: type it exactly as shown. Capital letters matter.
- Password: type it slowly, checking each character before moving on.
Before saving, look over each field one more time. On a TV keyboard, it is easy to press a neighbouring key without noticing.
Characters That Often Cause Trouble
- The number 0 and the capital letter O.
- The lowercase letter l, the capital letter I and the number 1.
- A space added automatically after a word, especially at the end of the Username.
- A missing http:// at the start of the Server URL, or a missing port number at the end.
Step 4: Save and Let It Load
Save or connect, then wait. The first load downloads your channel list, groups, guide data and on-demand menus, which can take a few minutes. Avoid pressing back or opening other menus while it works.
Step 5: Check That Everything Arrived
- Open Live TV and confirm channel groups appear.
- Play two or three channels from different groups.
- Open the TV guide and check that the times look right.
- Open the movies or series section and start a title.
If the guide times are off by whole hours, check the time zone on your device before changing anything in the player. To add a second playlist or edit your details later, see our guide to managing playlists and Xtream logins in IBO Player Pro.
Setting Up a Second Device
Once the first device works, the second is quicker because you already know which fields trip people up. Install the player from that device’s official store, then repeat the same steps with the same details. Before you do, check your plan details or ask our support team how many devices can be used at once, so a second TV does not interrupt viewing on the first.
Troubleshooting the First Login
The App Says the Login Is Invalid
Delete the entry and type it again from the email, slowly. Check the Server URL format and capital letters in particular.
Loading Never Finishes
Close the app fully, restart the device and try again. Confirm other apps can reach the internet.
Channels Appear but Will Not Play
Try channels from different groups. If none play, our IBO Player Pro troubleshooting guide has further steps. You can also reach our support team by email or WhatsApp.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I use the account login or the playlist link?
The account login with three fields is usually easier and less prone to typing errors. Use whichever your email recommends.
Does the playlist name have to match anything?
No. It is only a label to help you recognize the playlist.
Why does the app send me to a website?
Some versions add playlists through the developer’s official website. Use only that official site, and follow the instructions the app shows.
Will IBO Player Pro work without a subscription?
The app will open, but it has no channels of its own. Content comes from the subscription you add.
