Setting up IBO Player Pro the first time is a one-off job. Living with it is another matter. Over months of use, you may need to update a password, add a second playlist, refresh the channel list or clear out an old entry that no longer works. Each of these is quick once you know where to look.
This guide explains how playlists work in IBO Player Pro and how to manage them. Because the app is developed independently and changes between versions, screen labels and steps vary. Some versions manage playlists on the TV itself, while others use the developer’s official website. Follow what your version shows. Remember too that IBO Player Pro has no content of its own; every playlist you add points to a subscription that provides the channels.
What a Playlist Is in IBO Player Pro
In the player, a playlist is a saved connection to a subscription. It stores the details needed to reach the service and remembers a name you choose. When you open a playlist, the player uses those details to load the channel list, groups, guide and on-demand sections.
Xtream Login or M3U Link?
- Xtream login: three separate fields, a Server URL, a Username and a Password. It usually loads live TV, on-demand titles and series in an organized way.
- M3U link: a single long web address that contains the playlist. It works in many players but can be harder to type and may not organize on-demand content as neatly.
For most people, the Xtream-style login is easier and less prone to typing errors. Use whichever option your subscription email recommends.
Adding a New Playlist
- Open the playlist or user management area in the player. It is often reachable from the home screen or the settings.
- Choose the option to add a new playlist or user.
- Select the login type, give the playlist a clear name, and enter your details.
- Save, then wait for the channels and guide to load.
If your version directs you to the developer’s official website to add playlists, use only that official site. Our step-by-step setup guide covers the first login in more detail.
Editing an Existing Playlist
If your password or server address changes, edit the existing playlist rather than adding a new one. Look for an edit option next to the playlist name, update the field that changed, and save. Then reload the playlist so the player reconnects with the new details. If editing is not available in your version, delete the old entry and add it again.
Switching Between Playlists
If you have more than one playlist, the player usually lets you choose which one to open from the playlist list. This is handy if someone in the house keeps a separate entry with their own favourites. Clear names, such as Living Room or Aloha8K Main, prevent mix-ups.
Naming Ideas That Stay Clear
- Name by purpose: Main, Kids or Sports.
- Name by room if each TV has its own entry: Basement, Kitchen, Bedroom.
- Add the month you set it up, such as Main April, so you can tell an old entry from a new one after a renewal.
- Avoid putting your Username or Password in the name, since anyone looking at the screen can read it.
Using the Same Playlist on Several TVs
Each TV or streaming device keeps its own copy of the playlist, so you set it up separately on every screen. Changes you make on one device, such as edits, favourites or deletions, usually stay on that device. Before adding the same login to several TVs, check your plan details or ask our support team how many devices can be used at the same time.
Refreshing a Playlist
Channel lists and on-demand libraries can change over time. If new content does not appear, or a channel seems missing, refresh or reload the playlist. Many players offer a reload or update option inside the playlist settings. Closing the app fully and reopening it also triggers a fresh load in many cases.
Removing Old Playlists
Old entries that no longer work clutter the list and can cause the player to open the wrong one. Delete any you no longer use. Deleting a playlist in the player does not affect your subscription; it only removes the saved connection from that device.
After Renewing Your Subscription
When you renew, check your confirmation email to see whether your login details are the same or have changed. If they are unchanged, there is usually nothing to do. If anything changed, edit the playlist with the new details.
Troubleshooting Playlists
The Playlist Will Not Load After Editing
Re-check every field for typing mistakes, then reload. If it still fails, delete the playlist and add it fresh.
Two Playlists Show the Same Content
They probably use the same login. That is fine, but rename them clearly so you know which is which.
New Movies or Channels Are Missing
Refresh the playlist and give it a few minutes. If items are still missing, see our IBO Player Pro troubleshooting guide or contact our team.
