IBO Player Pro activation not working after you have paid? The cause is usually a mismatch between the device ID (MAC address) and key on your screen and the details that were activated. One misread character, an ID copied from a different TV or a device that has since been reset can all leave the app unactivated. The fix starts with comparing what your screen shows now against what was sent.
This guide covers the activation side only: finding the MAC address and key, the reasons an activation does not take effect, and how to tell an activation problem from a subscription or playlist problem. If your app is activated but channels will not load, our IBO Player Pro troubleshooting guide is the better starting point.
How IBO Player Pro Activation Works
IBO Player Pro is a paid player. The first time you open it, it shows a device ID, which is a MAC address, and a key. When you order an activation from us on WhatsApp, you send both, and the activation is applied to that device. Once it is active, you add your playlist using Xtream details or an M3U link.
- There are two activation options, priced per device: 1 Year for $12 or Lifetime for $25.
- Each activation belongs to one device, so a second TV needs its own.
- Activation is for the player alone. Your IPTV subscription is separate, with its own plan and renewal date.
Our step-by-step IBO Player Pro setup covers the whole process from install to first channel.
Finding Your IBO Player Pro MAC Address and Key
The device ID and key appear on screen when the app opens before activation. Depending on the version, you may also find them in the app’s settings or information screen. The most reliable way to send them is a clear photo of the TV screen taken with your phone, rather than copying them out by hand.
A MAC address is written as six pairs of characters, usually separated by colons. Because MAC addresses use only the digits 0 to 9 and the letters A to F, any O, I or L you think you see is really a zero or a one. That rule alone clears up many failed activations.
IBO Player Pro Activation Not Working: Common Causes
A character was misread or mistyped
Zero and the letter O, one and the letter I, eight and the letter B: these pairs look alike on a TV screen from across the room. If the ID you sent differs from the one on screen by even one character, the activation went to a different ID. Compare them character by character, and send us a fresh photo if you spot a difference.
The details came from a different device
In homes with several TVs, it is easy to photograph the wrong screen or mix up two IDs. Check that the ID on the TV in front of you matches the one you sent. Our multi-room TV guide has tips for keeping several screens organized.
The app has not picked up the change yet
If the details match, close the app completely and open it again. If the message stays the same, restart the device and confirm it is online, since the app needs a connection to check its status.
The device ID is no longer the same
After a factory reset, a reinstall, a major update or a move to a new device, the app may show a different ID from the one that was activated. An activation is tied to the ID it was applied to. If your screen now shows a new ID, send us both the old and the new details so we can check what is possible.
The activation period has ended
A 1 Year activation lasts one year. When it ends, the app treats the device as unactivated again. Lifetime activations do not expire. If a device on the 1 Year option stopped working around its anniversary, renewal is the likely answer.
IBO Player Pro Not Working: Activation or Subscription?
Two separate things must be in place for IBO Player Pro to show your channels: the app activation and your IPTV subscription. They run on separate timelines, so the symptom tells you where to look.
- The app says it is not activated, or asks you to activate: this is the activation side, covered on this page.
- The app is activated but your playlist will not load or the login is rejected: this is usually the playlist or subscription side.
- Everything worked until a certain date and now only the playlist fails: check whether your subscription has reached its renewal date.
- Some channels play and others do not: that points to playback, not activation.
For playlist and login problems, see managing playlists and Xtream logins in IBO Player Pro. To confirm your subscription works while the activation is sorted out, a free player can sign in with the same details; our IPTV Smarters Pro setup guide shows how.
What to Send Us
- A clear photo of the screen showing the device ID and key.
- The device brand and model.
- Which activation you ordered, 1 Year or Lifetime, and roughly when.
- The exact message the app shows, word for word.
- Whether the device has been reset, reinstalled or replaced since the activation.
Reach us by email or WhatsApp. Send these details privately, never in a public group or review, and keep your subscription password out of the photo.
Preventing Activation Problems
- Photograph the device ID and key the first time the app opens, and keep the photo with your order details.
- Label each TV in a multi-TV home so the right ID goes with the right screen.
- Avoid factory resets unless you truly need one, and contact us before replacing a device.
- Note the date of a 1 Year activation so the renewal does not catch you by surprise.
- Read our overview of what IBO Player Pro is if you are new to how the app and the subscription fit together.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does IBO Player Pro still say not activated after I paid?
Usually the ID that was activated does not match the one on screen, or the app has not refreshed yet. Restart the app, compare the IDs character by character, then contact us with a photo.
Where do I find the IBO Player Pro MAC address?
It is shown on screen when the app opens before activation, and in some versions in the settings or information screen, labelled as the device ID or MAC address.
Does activation include my channels?
No. Activation is for the app only. Channels come from your separate IPTV subscription, which you add as a playlist once the device is active.
Bought a new TV. Does my old activation carry over?
Each activation is tied to one device ID. Contact us with both the old and new details before you set up the new TV, and we will explain the options.
